LASU Academic Calendar 2026/2027

Here is the LASU academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic year. This calendar contains the key dates for the academic activities for 2026/2027. Students at LASU should use this calendar to know the schedule of events for both semesters.

First Semester 2026/2027

• Monday, 18th November 2026 – Friday, 31st January 2026: Resumption, registration, and lectures for new and returning students (11 weeks).
• Monday, 3rd February – Friday, 7th February 2026: Lectures continue with late registration, which includes a ₦5,000 penalty fee (1 week).
• Monday, 10th February – Friday, 7th March 2026: Examinations for all students (4 weeks).
• Monday, 10th March – Friday, 21st March 2026: Grading and uploading of results (2 weeks).
• Monday, 24th March 2026: Departments and faculties review and upload corrections while ICT processes the results (1 week).
• Monday, 31st March – Thursday, 3rd April 2026: Collation of results, Senate review, and final consideration of results (1 week).

Second Semester 2026/2027

• Monday, 21st April – Friday, 11th July 2026: Resumption, registration, and lectures for new and returning students (12 weeks).
• Monday, 14th July – Friday, 8th August 2026: Examinations for all students (4 weeks).
• Monday, 11th August – Friday, 22nd August 2026: Grading and uploading of results (2 weeks).
• Monday, 25th August – Friday, 29th August 2026: Departments and faculties review and upload corrections while ICT processes the results (1 week).
• Monday, 1st September – Friday, 5th September 2026: Collation of results, Senate review, and final consideration of results (1 week).
• Monday, 8th September 2026: End of session break begins.

There is a total number of forty (40) weeks for the LASU 2026/2027 academic session. This means that twenty (20) weeks are allocated for each semester. Students are expected to take note of the dates provided in the calendar.

In order to avoid a registration penalty or voluntary withdrawal, students of LASU are urged to pay their school fees by the deadlines specified in the academic calendar.

Students should also take note of when lectures will resume and try to attend as many classes as they can. This will make it possible for them to meet the 70% attendance in all courses which is a prerequisite for sitting for an examination.

Students are also advised to check their departmental notice boards for their individual department information. As a well-arranged timetable will be pasted in different departments for students.
