If you want to study at UNILAG via the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mode, these are the requirements you are expected to meet to qualify for admission.

Candidates must have at least five (5) credits in SSCE or GCE, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects relevant to the chosen course, in no more than two sittings.
The correct JAMB subject combination for the selected course must be used.
A minimum JAMB UTME score of 180 is required for consideration.
UNILAG must be selected as the first or most preferred institution during the JAMB registration.
Candidates must participate in the UNILAG Post-UTME screening to be considered for admission.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old by the time of admission.

UNILAG Requirements For Direct Entry Candidates 2024/2025

If you don’t want to apply for admission using your JAM, you can apply through the Direct Entry mode if you have an ND or HND. If you want to study any of the courses offered by UNILAG using the Direct Entry mode, you are expected to fulfill these requirements to qualify for admission.

Candidates need a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits in SSCE or GCE, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects related to their chosen course, obtained in no more than two sittings.
Applicants must have A’Level or IJMB passes in two subjects relevant to their field of study.
JUPEB or A’Level passes in related subjects are required.
A First Class or Second Class Upper degree in a relevant discipline can also qualify candidates for admission.
Direct Entry candidates must purchase the UNILAG Direct Entry form through both the JAMB and UNILAG portals.
A Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), or other advanced-level certifications is also accepted.

Create and print the payment invoice for the ₦2,000 screening fee.
Pay the fee at any commercial bank or complete the payment online.
Go back to the UNILAG portal to fill out the screening form.
Upload all necessary academic results, such as First Degree, HND, OND, JUPEB, and Cambridge A’ Level certificates.
Check and confirm your information before submitting the form.
Print the Direct Entry e-registration slip.
Submit the printed e-registration slip along with your credentials.

For UTME Candidates:-

Visit the University of Lagos website at www.unilag.edu.ng
Click on Admissions.
Select Post-UTME Application.
Log in using your UTME Application number as your username and your surname in lowercase as your password.
Generate and print the payment invoice.
Go to any commercial bank to make the payment or complete it online.
Return to the university portal to fill out the screening form.
Print your Post UTME examination pass.
