UNIPORT Postgraduate Admission Requirements 2024/2025

To be eligible for any of the postgraduate programs, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• For the Postgraduate Diploma: Must possess a first degree (B.Sc) or its equivalent from UNIPORT or any other recognized institution in the relevant field of study.
• For Master of Science (M.Sc): Applicants must possess a first degree and PGD certificate in the relevant course in any recognized institution.
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D): Applicants must have a first degree (B.Sc) and, a master’s degree (M.Sc) in the relevant field of study from the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) or any recognized institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.0.

Duration

• The Full-Time program for the Postgraduate Diploma program (PGD) runs for one academic session, while the Part-Time program is for two academic sessions.
• The Master of Science (M.Sc) full-time program runs for a minimum of 12 calendar months and a maximum of 24 calendar months. The part-time runs for a minimum of 24 calendar months and a maximum of 36 calendar months.
• The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program for full time shall run for a minimum of 24 calendar months, and a maximum of 48 Calendar months. The Part-time runs for a minimum of 48 calendar months, and a maximum of 72 calendar months.

Note: The application form is N30,000 (covering both the prospectus and application form).

Steps to Apply for UNIPORT Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025

To apply for the University of Port Harcourt Postgraduate program successfully, candidates should follow the guidelines below:

• Visit the official UNIPORT website at www.uniport-sgs.com
• Create an account with your correct email and phone number.
• Click on the “New Application” button or the “Applications” tab on the menu and follow the application guidelines provided.
• Fill out the application form providing all the required information.
• Scan and upload the necessary documents where applicable.
• Proceed to select the program of your choice.
• Make a payment of N30,000 (non-refundable) to cover the prospectus and application form (Payments can be made through online REMITA or Debit/Credit Card).
• Once successful, you will receive a confirmation and an email will be sent to you including screening details and other information.

• NYSC Certificate.
• Certificate of State of Origin.
