To apply for the 2024/2025 FUTA Postgraduate Admission Form, candidates must meet the required criteria of the program they are applying for. Below are the criteria for each program:

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):

Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
A Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit or an equivalent qualification in a related field is acceptable.
For PGD in Computer Science, professional qualifications like ACA, ACCA, AIB, and others are also accepted.

Master’s Programs (M. Agric. Tech./M. Eng./M. Tech.):

Prospective candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division in a related field from FUTA or another recognized university.
Those with a Lower Credit HND must have completed a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) with at least Upper Credit.

Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.):

Applicant must hold a Master of Technology (M. Tech.) degree or its equivalent in a relevant field.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.):

Candidate must have a Master’s degree in the relevant field with a CGPA of 3.50 or at least 60% average score.
Other qualifications approved by the University Senate may also be considered.

Steps to Apply for FUTA Postgraduate Admission Form 2024

Follow the steps below to apply for a postgraduate program at FUTA:

Visit the official FUTA postgraduate portal at https://pgportal.futa.edu.ng/ to begin your application.
Complete the online application form and make a payment of N20,000 via the REMITA platform to the School of Postgraduate Studies account.
Ph.D. candidates must submit their Research Proposal to spgsadmissions@futa.edu.ng in the required format.
Non-FUTA graduates should ensure their academic transcripts are sent directly from their previous institutions, along with the Transcript Label attached to the application form.

Note: Applications for all postgraduate programs, including Ph.D., Masters, and PGD, are processed online.

Steps to Pay for Federal University of Technology Akure Postgraduate Application Form 2024/2025

The Postgraduate Application form for the 2024/2025 academic session at FUTA is available online through the REMITTA platform. Follow these steps to apply:

Visit the PG Portal landing page and click on the “Application Payment” link.
Fill in the required fields correctly, then click “Get Payment Invoice” to generate and download your RRR Invoice.

You can make payment either online or at the bank. To pay online: Go to https://www.remita.net./

Click on “Bills and Purchases” and select “Pay RRR Invoice”.
Enter the RRR code from the invoice and click “Continue” to complete the payment.

To pay at the bank:

Visit any bank and use the Remita platform to pay with the RRR code generated.
After payment, return to the PG Portal and click on “Payment Verification” to confirm your payment.
Once payment is verified, create your login details to start filling out the application form.
Complete the form step by step, ensuring you provide all necessary information.
Upload your results/certificates as required.
Once all information is filled, click “CLOSE APPLICATION” to submit your application online.
